I have just gone through three days at over 80 deg, today it was 85. The A/C works so much better with these electrics that it ever did with the Clutch fan. The A/C doesn't cool off at stop lights like it used to. I towed a bobcat today through town A/C blasting and the engine temp didn't get over 180 deg.

I am running two fans right now... . On the inside of the rad is a 18" perma-cool ultra. It is mounted just off center to the left side. I have it wired to an adjustable thermostatic switch, to come on with the A/C and a manual over ride switch on the dash. On the outside on the right is a 15" Perma-cool standard fan. This one is wired to come on with the A/C and a manual over ride. I am using a Dual magnet relay to power up the two fans for the A/c and mnaul over ride.

I am looking for an 8" to mount in front of the inter cooler on the left front that I will wire into a thermo switch in the intake manifold.

Good work, Drawson #ad
Keep us posted on how it works as temps get higher in the summer. Interesting idea about adding a fan for the intercooler. You could maybe tap into the stock intake air temp sensor instead although you'd have to be careful not to throw off the values. If you had access to a scan tool you can read out intake temps on the fly. If you did rig something up you can see how much improvement there is.

Autometer is supossedly coming out with an intake air temp gauge. That would be a great tool to optimize additional cooling. I will call them tommorow and get some P/N's and availibility and post them.

I use a switched sender off of my AT temp gauge to monitor intake temp. All it cost me was an extra $14 sender and $5 toggle switch. Works excellent.

I have a oil temp gauge hooked up with a three position switch reading before and after the intercooler and oil Temp. I have only had my set up for 2 weeks, Bill (illflem) has had his set up for some time.

Dee, readings aren't nearly as high as you would expect are they? I was very surprised. I only have a sender post inner cooler, what kind of drop are you getting across it?

I have seen higher temps when running the A/C. There is about 90-120 deg drop running down the freeway pulling a big load w/o A/C and only about 70-100 deg w/ A/C. These numbers are at high boost levels and using alot of throttle. Cruising empty with low to no boost there isn't much of a change. I need to find a better gauge for these temps the one I have starts at 30 deg and goes to 300 in a sweep of 270' on the dial. I am looking at some of the digital gauges for this.
