I understand what you are talking about. Unfortunately I have the same problem. I was hoping someone would post something about it.

I'll try to give it one more shot for us. This issue has nothing to do with the AC freezing up. Mine will do it with the heat on also. Whatever the fan speed is set to, it feels like the vents on the passenger side are at one setting less, i. e. the fan is set to high, the drivers side vents put out air like mad, the passenger vents put out air like it is one fan setting less.

Could this be part of the dreaded diverter door issue that they had? Maybe the diverter is not moving completely?

I hope that doesn't sound condescending or rude. I don't mean it that way.

Thank you, a reply to my question! :D

It could be a door that is not opening fully.

Is there an easy way to check without tearing the whole dash out?

I don't think it is bad enough to take to a shop or tear the dash out.

Agreed, Jeff? (you also repeated the question , great)

If I remember correctly, everything that I read about the blend door issue requires removal of the better part of the dash. Mine isn't bad enough to go tearing the dash out just yet.

I am curious to know what the dealers replaced under that whole blend door fiasco. I would also like to know the part numbers if anyone has them, just so if mine does quit working, I won't have to waste hours trying to figure out what I need to tell the parts guy to order for me.

What about the air?

This is a different problem that could be related to a sticking door. I have seen everything from small batteries to pens and pencils that have found there way down through the defroster vent to cause problems. Some older chevy's would actually warp the plenum case and cause the door to stick. Unfortunatly it will require some dash/glovebox related parts to be removed and inspect for proper operation of doors.
