Has anyone had problems with their a/c heater? Mine had leaves in the fan so I removed and cleaned it out, after replacing it the fan and A/C will only work when on "High" if I turn the fan down to anyting other than high the A/C light goes out after a couple of seconds and the fan stops. Any info will help.
Thanks,
Tracy

I'm not sure how the connection is wired, but I'd suggest removing the fan again, checking the connections on both the cable and fan for corrosion and then reconnecting it and make sure the connection is solid and there are no shorts in the wires at the connector.

The problem is likely with the fan resistor which is located near the fan area under the glove box and is mounted to the A/C housing, try unplugging the connection (about five terminals I believe) and see if the terminals are corroded. You might have just moved the connection causing it to lose continuity as the fan wire comes through the resistor. Hope the resistor is not bad, they run in the fifty dollar range. bg

If the leaves stopped the fan for any amount of time the resisters got hot and burned up the thermal fuses. A replacement part will be needed.
