Went in to load this morning and the a/c was cold as ice. Spent about 25 minutes loading and when I got back in the truck it was blowing hot. Checked the fuse, the connections--all good. the compressor will not even cycle. Needlesss to say I drove to Houston, unloaded, to Cypress, reloaded and back to Corpus, sweating my cajones off!!

Any ideas?

In the last 6 weeks all 4 of our Dodge's have had the a/c quit working.

If the compressor's not kicking in at all it sounds like an electrical problem. Have you checked the status of the compressor electrical connector (have to crawl under the truck to do so)?

I know when I change oil the filter tends to drop a little bit of oil onto that connector. Maybe the same thing happened to you and it is screwing up the connection now?

It's also possible to strike the connector when the oil filter is removed from below. Is the same person doing the oil changes on all 4 trucks? Maybe he's been hitting the connector and damaged it over time?

I use the zip lock bag method on my filter change so the filter never hits the connector and the there is zero oil on any componant in that area.

Friend of mine came by yesterday and there is no power to the compressor and there in no power to the tranducer switch. There is power at the fuse.

I might be replacing the power module.

Compressor clutch circuit open
Fan Clutch circuit open - $800+- total repair.

Just talked to a friend of mine from ET Services and his a/c on his 06 mega cab went out yesterday. Thats 5 Dodge a/c's in 6 weeks.

So..... be prepared.
