A/C not working

My A/C is not working very well, sometimes it blows very cold air and others times its just air. I can be driving down the highway at 70 mph and it will change from cold to just air and it feels clammy. R. P. M. s do not seem to be a factor but acceleration does. For example if I were going over a mountain on the way up it would be blowing cold air on the way down just air. I can idle and get cold air then it changes. I now have 36,850 miles of course! Any ideas would be appreciated.

Turn your caps off. ITS CONSIDERED YELLING! its probably freezing up,low charge.

MY CAP LOCK IS NOT ON oh sorry I didn't mean to yell,but my fonts did seem to be bigger then yours. Sorry again now I think i'm bragging. All kidding aside low charge then freezing makes sense because it seems to work fine for the first ten minutes or so. I'll have that checked tomorrow.

R134 is brutal. If it is the slightest bit low on freon, it won't cool. I need to check mine out still.

how can you tell its freezing up? Besides the air getting clammy in the truck.

Well if its blowing strong through the vents and then slowly fads away leave all ac settings alone except the ac on off button. Turn it off. If in a little while the air starts coming back through the vents the ice melted.
