Did not want to bother people with

posting but it looks like we can't

search until later and it seems to

take forever going back one day at

a time.

A/C just seemed to quit putting out

cold air all at once. Blower works

and could not find any leaks in any

of the hose's.

Remembered a while back someone

mentioned a cheaper place to get

the A/C parts once we knew what

was wrong. Anyone with advice on

how and what to test and the test

equipment needed, it would be

appreciated.

Thanks,

Don

I had the same problem last summer. The air stopped cooling all of a sudden. Check the AC line by the lower hose of your intercooler. There should be a pressure switch in the AC line. Mine had been bent, and wasnt making a good connection. You should be able to jump the connector to test it. Hope this helps.

Check to see if you hear the a/c compressor switching on and off while the a/c is on the the truck. the best and sure way is to open the hood and stand in front of the truck w/engine on. If you hear the a/c compressor switching on and off, I would take it to get serviced by a tech. On the other hand, if while the a/c is on in the truck and you do not ear the a/c compressor swithing on and off, check the 12v relay that activates the a/c compressor, it is located on the drivers side under the hood in the black relay box next to the battery. A quick check is to interchange the a/c relay with one of the similar looking relays in the box or just wiggle it around to see if you hear the a/c compressor switch on and off. If you do, there is your problem. It has happend to me before.
