A/C recirculating problem.

I remeber reading awhile back that someone was having trouble with the a/c selector not working. Here lately whenever my a/c is on recirculate there is an annoying whistling noise like something isn't sealed all the way. Sounds like one of the windows is barely cracked. Has anyone heard anything about this?? Any help is greatly appreciated.

Actually I had a very simmilar problem, except mine would wistle when the blower motor was on and the air was set to normal, non recurculate... If I opened the window it would stop...



Anyway, the problem was in the door handle. The dealer sealed it and the problem was gone !...

R1, I had a 97 that did that. Never found the cure but I always suspected it was an intake valve that wasn't closing completely. Ya, sounded like air was coming through the windshield on the drivers side.

Luckily in Arizona you generally have the A/C on full blast anyhow, so you can't hear it.
