2nd Gen Non-Engine/Transmission A/C warms up @ idle - condenser air flow?

When cuising the a/c blows so cold it feels like a meat locker, can't keep the temp control all the way cold as it's too cold.



When stopped - it's the opposite, it's not cold enough.



I'm assuming it's a lack of air flow through the condenser (I have the factory fan w/ a new clutch and the factory shroud).

What are some thoughts about installing a small electric fan in front of the condenser that can be turned on when idling?

You can do that, although I'd take and look between the Intercooler/condensor/radiator and see if you have leaves/fuzz/small animals between them. I've seen the surface between them become almost all the way blocked due to debris like that.

i had the same thing, ended up pulling radiator out and power washing it out, I had my a/c gauges hooked up and the high side would get up around 200 degrees!!! after washed out and restored air flow you could hang a half a beef in there at idle.

I had that problem with my wife's Durango. The new aftermarket fan clutch I put in didn't cut it. I replaced with a Mopar fan clutch (expensive) and no more problems.
