A. C. Quit working today only blows hot air out. any one know where the A. C. fuse is located at i looked in that side panal on the dash but no fuse labed A. C.

The cluch on the pully will not engage to turn the compresser.

Sounds familiar

This sounds like what happend to me this summer. Found out there is a block fuse that is rated at 50 amps in the engine compartment that was bad. Also my radio went out at the same time. What had happened was that someone must have worked on my truck at some point and the original 50 amp block fuse was removed and two regular fuses (a 30 and a 20) were soddered together and inserted into the slot. It came loose and when you would push on the two soddered fuses, the compressor would come on. Went to NAPA and got a new 50 amp fuse.

Hopfully this helps.

Could be low on freon. The compressor will not run if there isn't enough freon in the system. You could possibly have a leak. If you do chances are very high that it is the evaporator.

Thanks For THE Help

Found fuse in engine compartment was'nt bad i guess its off to the dealer on monday man thats a scarry thaught oh well

Thanks everyone

Look at the accumulator on the passenger side under the hood near the firewall, there is a plug in connection that is the clutch cycling switch and also cuts the compressor off if low on refrigerant, disconnect and reconnect the connection, have seen some problems with this connection. bg

You can also run a jumper wire between the two connections mentioned above and your compressor should come on if there is nothing wrong with that. I had a similar problem with it not coming on and finally found a pinhole leak in one of the lines that were rubbing together as they passed near the radiator.

Underneath the compressor there is a connector plug and mine and 2 others I know about have wiggled loose and done what yours is doing, didnt come undone just not connected good, unplug and reinsert.

Good Luck
