That's a mighty impressive looking camper to be from the late 1960's, the interior layout and design doesn't look all that bad even from modern standards. The interior was kept fairly light and airy, when most of them back then were like the inside of a cave. The outside design is interesting too, like the rear clearance lights being mounted underneath a "shelf" presumably to avoid leaks.

Somebody is going to get a nice retro camper out of that deal, hopefully there is little or no rot. With a little work and some updating of the appliances they can probably make that rig turn out very nice indeed...

I looked at this camper the first time it was listed on Ebay. It's a great deal for the years, and it's in great shape.

I looked very hard at purchasing this camper, and emailed back and forth with the owners for quite some time.

This is the second listing on this camper on ebay.

The reserve is set somewhere around $850. It's priced a little high for the age, but it's still a decent deal, just remember, that all of the holding tanks, hoses, and plumbing is old very old. More than likely, it's going to take some serious plumbing to be active again. That's just my though.

This is a great fixer upper trust me, I have looked at way too many slide in campers in the older years.

I think it would be a perfect match for one of those mid-60's Dodge trucks painted in that dark green color they used, or maybe a snazzier green metallic. My Ag teacher in high school had an Dodge like that, his was the yellow color but boy he loved that truck. He had a camper shell on it (not cabover, just a topper type) painted to match, it was a slick rig and tough as an anvil.

Imagine what it must have been like back in the 50's and 60's to visit some of the national parks in a spiffy new Dodge with a camper like that. The population was far lower, the interstate system wasn't in full gear until the mid-late 60's so most of the trips would have been on smaller roads like Route 66 - might have taken forever to get somewhere, but boy the sights you would see along the way! :D

The RV museum in Elkhart, Indiana has a 60 something Holiday Rambler camper. It has the usual appliances but gas lamps and 120 volt. Don't remember any 12 volt anything but it's been years since we were there. You might check to see if the museum has a website.
