Competition bee one bomber turbocharger

Competition 12.66 @ 108.3 with new DTT trans

83crewcab has offered to come down with me to Atlanta to join JetPilot and Jeff G. among others at the Mopar Nationals. Let's see all of the fast trucks there, the more we open the eyes of the gassers the better. My truck is . 4 faster since Muncie, Jeff's truck is faster and Doug is just too fast to begin with.

Jeff, can you shoot me some more info, directions, track website, nearby hotels, etc... .

Very cool to have you and George join us. Jeff has the drag truck and the Dakota running well. I have managed to pick up 1 tenth in the 1/8th with new Bully Dog 4" exhaust. (four 9. 0's back to back)Oo.

Eric - As Josiah mentioned, the dragway web page has hotel numbers. The track is less than 2 miles right off I-85 in Commerce Georgia (northeast of Atlanta)

I'll shoot you an e-mail.

This event may get coverage by one of the Sports TV Cable/satullite companys, look for them and ask them to shoot some of the fast diesel trucks!

What was the date of this drag race?I live in S. C. so I could probably make it. But y'all have to promiss to go easy on me. I drive a Ford you know:D ;)

craig, it'll be good to see you too! We are definately going to have a good time. Mike M from ATS said you are wanting to see just how dang fast you can get with that 5 speed. On diesel only I ran a best of 13. 54 and with drugs HVAC ran a 13. 10. Not sure if Adam ever broke that one with his truck or not when he had his 5 speed.

I think we might be down late Thursday night, hang out Friday, won't run until Saturday then pack up and have to be back here on Sunday morning.

Eric, just wondering what is the fastest single turbo five speed on #2 diesel that has run. I believe that you ran a 13. 86 on a single turbo. I want the fastest single turbo first. Then this winter I promise you we will get stupid on a set of compounds. :D I really think I'm going to run about 13. 4 to 13. 5 in Georgia;) I'm looking forward to having a good time at the track, and meeting some new people who we share a common interest with.

Actually, I have never raced with a single charger. I have had two chargers for a LOOOOONG time. I'm pretty sure Nowel's time was with a single charger.

Let's hope for some good air in Georgia, but my guess is hot and humid. In that case, I'd rather race at 10,000 ft. ! The nicest thing about these gasser meets is that we'll have plenty of time inbetween runs to cool down.

See you soon.

I might just drag Dad down to his brother's place somewhere on the north side of Hotlanta to visit whilst I do the diesel racing. I might be able to make it for Friday evening, but I would definitely be there Saturday.

...

Called, and plans are made. We'll head down Thursday and hang about Friday. They've got a football game to go to Friday evening, so I should be free to attend the festivities at the track then. I'll definitely be there Saturday. And I'll even bring my camera and take more embarassing pictures of unsuspecting victims. :) More names to omit to protect the guilty.

Eric, bring a before and after pair of delivery valves, so I can see what need to be done. Then, if anyone is interested at Kaufman's, I can show them how to do it. If there's any interest in Commerce, I could even *remember* to bring the Dremel this time! :( It's now in my Palm, so I won't forget!

Thanks,David:) I would love to try and make it to the event. I have been to the track back in the early 80's. It would be nice to go to a drag race with more diesels than gassers:D

I will be taking Doug down to STP on friday to install his injectors and whatever else he wants to do. If anyone else is interested let me know and we'll set up a convoy. I live about 20 mins from the track and can meet you all at the hotel if you'd like.

Should be a big time. If we should miss you Friday A. M. , then we will be at the track Friday evening. You won't be able to miss us with the Peterbuilt and Diesel Performance Motorsports banners.

I am planning on stopping at Hayes Chrysler (event organizer) to check in. I believe he will be most surprised at not only the number of trucks but also at the times we will produce. :D

Eric - what is the fastest time you know of with a Hx35?

See everyone soon.

14. 18 is the fastest I have on tape. Dang you for making me watch all of those drag races I have on tape! LOL.

Neal, I am on my way to pickup the parts requested.

Hey EH, you going to stop hiding behind work and that computer and come out to play? Every time there is a great race or event you have to work, what's up with that?

My senority sucks! Thats whats up. I used all of my vacation this year for May Madness in May. I have Wed and Thurs off... ... .

So in order for me to get a weekend off... ... ... takes a miracle most of the time. With it being summer all the older guys have vacation penciled in.....

It sucks... for now. Been laying low this summer anyhow.

On my off days I zip down to KC to BS with Floor It.

In sept I actually have enough time to goto Tx for dyno day.

If someone going has a delivery valve socket, bring it. I am sure Jeff has one, but it would be a good idea to bring another just in case...

Laying low, you're going to come back with the first 10 second street truck aren't you! I'm not falling for that I'm laying low thing, LOL.

The day rapidly approaches. Where's the hanging-out being done Friday afternoon?

Another reminder (to me) to bring the Dremel, just in case... .
