A friend is working on a 07.5 Dually 6 speed.
#1 It has a code P2579 what would that mean?
#2 The idler pulley appears to be installed backwards and eats belts from being offset. Took off the pulley and there is a steel sleeve between the mounting bracket and the pulley. Looks like someone used a regular bolt with a thin fender washer to hold the pulley on. Does anyone have a picture of what the mounting hardware looks like?
Here is a pic of the water pump that came off the truck. It was so bad the part the belt rides on broke off !
