While at Schied's last weekend, I picked up a Superchips Max MicroTuner for my bosses 02 Duramax in an attempt to help him out with his power problem.
Seemed simple enough, plug it in and choose from one of three available power settings. The Superchip also has the ability to read codes, which I thought might come in handy. Everything went fine for awhile, the computer would save the stock program, and then I indicated which level of power I wanted, as well as whether or not I wanted the speed limiter raised. The problem came when the computer went to install the new program on the truck. It read an error and told me to call Superchips, which I haven't gotten around to yet. To make matters worse, the truck is 90 miles away, so if they tell me to pass 'Go' and collect $200, it's gonna have to wait until the weekend. I'm seriously thinking of just taking the thing back and telling the boss just to go buy another Dodge. ( The Chevy was a political move, we poured alot of concrete for the owner of the dealership. )
