I recently bought a Horton clutch kit from MOPAR for the '99 ISB. Turn's out there was one small part missing a brackett. Mopar aren't getting along with Horton just now and so there's no ofer from either side except Mopar will discount the kit a bit if I find the part myself. Could have fabricated it myself but if it failed warrantee would probably be null. Called Horton and told them that it was missing. They told me that they had 24 of them on the shelf 24US ea and I should order it from my local Freightliner dealer. Tried that and they said OK but 30 days delivery. I'm going on holiday and need the clutch by the 22nd. OK but freight will bump the price up to 100. 00. Horton will ship the part direct to my home airfreight if I pay the local dealer, (they can't sell direct) Local dealer says they have to go through channels. via Frieghtliner. Any one in the Minneapolis area might be close and pick it up and send it direct or even by post? Hortons # is 612-331-5931 and the part # I'm looking for is #15280 a U-shaped bracket. I'll pay you somehow and instantly. Thanks. David Oxland

I am in the Minneapolis area and can do that for you. I am little confused as to weather you want me to go directly to Hortons or to Freightliner? james. hillmann@unisys.com

David - If the bracket your looking for attaches to your radiator support to hold the wire harness from the clutch hub, I have one. I can not find a number for it.
On the last page of the installation book, at the very top is a picture of it. If thats it, you can have it. I could not use it on my installation. My Cummins I put in a Ford.
E-mail me your address and instructions how to ship to Canada-- Customs issue??

CPPF, yes that's exactly the one! In the meantime I've harrased the Freightliner rep so much that they finally found a way, so I've committed and must follow through. I'm very pleased about your offer though and thanks very much. One thing I wasn't quite clear on; as I understand it, the bracket carries only the harness but am wondering what takes the torsion from the clutch housing. Doesn't it want to rotate especially when it's cold and internal bearings are stiff? Is it possible that it's so low that the wiring harness holds it? Probably a dumb question, but I've not figured it out. Thanks agan for any offers of support

David - Thats correct,it clamps the wiring harness which in turn keeps the housing from rotating. I've used mine thru two winters with no problems.
I'm glad you got the problem "solved". If it doesn't work out, let me know--the offer still stands.
