Michigan Convoy to IRP

truck and tractor pull, Kenton,OH july 4th

Got the list of new members from mark today. Just finished making the cards and will get them sent out tommorow. Thanks for signing up guys with a little work we can make all this work. Is there any new updates on working at IRP??

I need to talk with Eric and see what and how he wants it done. Thanks everyone for your help and special thanks to Mark and Chuck for all their time and help to get this going. I am having a little bit of a problem with my parents splitting up so excuse me for not jumping on this sooner. I hope with all the talk about moving the site or starting a new one that Doc and Steve and the founders of the GLTDR will join us and I am personally sorry if I or someone of this site has hurt your feelings about it. I personally have not joined any club other than this one that I have had so much fun with. The only thing or saying that comes to mind is what Al Bundy always says…………

Let’s Rock!

PS Thanks Chuck I got my card... ... ... ... ... ... ... .....

We'll get together in a couple of weeks, I'll get you a sample ballot card, you need a ballot box, lots of pens, and sign in sheets. I have examples of everything. I'll call Patton, but I'm sure they are sponsoring the trophies, so we'll talk about that also.

I want to thank everyone for showing some interest. we will have a lot of fun this year. I also want to thank Chuck(woodsrat) for jumping in and making the cards that we have so far.

How about some udates on this guys?? Have some more member cards going out tommorow. (jason o'dell and dusty hawk). Seen that we need a ballot box has that been worked out or do we need one still?? I will see what i can work up on the CNC but nothing for sure yet. Like maybe a box with GLTDR milled into it. How big does it need to be?? Coming into the busy season for me with excavating and trucking companies, truckpulls and camping so if I dont get new member cards right out just bare with me, I have a pretty full plate with 3 business already and now with www.neweradiesel.com up and running im trying to keep up. Man that was a shamless plug wasent it:rolleyes:

i have the old banner. if anyone has any ideas for t-shirts could you send them to me. we are working on window decals. thanks.

well it is official I got my card today. I am now a member. See all you guys at IRP less than 2 months for those of you counting at home. -Jason

You guys need a ballot box, cash box, ballots with the classes on them and a LOT of pens, which I think we can help you with.

Classes we had last year- Best Dodge, Ford, GM/Chevy, Re-Power, Work Truck, not enough re-powers to give out three trophies, so that may need to be re-thought-lol. Then the winners are announced on Saturday evening and the winners show up on SUnday for Best in Show trophy.

Since I am almost FOG with the GLTDR from years back, I thought I'd chime in. I am sure you are aware of what the GLTDR logo is. Bob Fischer (billybob1) hooked us up with some black t-shirts with the logo years ago. Below the logo on the back was your homestate, and on the front was the Cummins logo. Maybe you would want to remake some of those. I know Bob doesn't get on the TDR much these days, but here is his email address:

we need a ballot box correct... . ? I can have one made up out of Aluminum Diamond Plate quick and cheap from my fabricator (made my air box-see gallery) If I get a new decal image I can copy it on a plate of Aluminum with the CNC machines at work..... but I need it soon were about a month away!!!!

I have to order trophies tomorrow. Classes have been Best Dodge, Ford, Chevy/GMC, Work Truck, Re-Power. Then we take the winners and on Sunday have a "best of show" judging. Your sponsor for the show-n=shine is Geno's Garage.

Re-Power only had two last year and seems to be dying. I'm thinking new classes: Best Cummins, PowerStroke, Duramax, Work Truck. Thoughts?

For the burnout contest, I bought a decibel meter and it will be available in our registration trailer near gate 2. I will see about getting wheel chocks also. Your sponsor for the BOC is Edge Products. Chaz, I will be gone every weekend until November so don't try to get me then.

Eric

For what its worth since Im not one of the officals. I think the new class would be better. Ian has stepped up and offered to do the ballot box. We have plenty of people willing to help this cause. Just need to now what we are doing. I know everyone is busy but we need to make plans for this event. We need to get them underway before we get there. We can not expect people to join us if we cant organize what we already have. If there is anything else I can do to help feel free to PM or email me.
