Michigan Convoy to IRP

truck and tractor pull, Kenton,OH july 4th

That's OG as in plankowner GLTDR members, lol.

Neal and I have been paying attention to the "revival" and want to extend you an offer:

How about GLTDR becomes the official diesel club of the Diesel Nationals @ IRP of 2006? We can talk details here or have the current President email me at -- email address removed --.

This event started as a GLTDR gathering!

Let me start off by saying thank you Eric and Neal that is one hell of an offer! I think that would be one hell of a jump-start for GLTDR. Would it be better to go over the details here so everyone can see first hand or would an email to a phone call be better so you don't have to type so much? :D I would love to see this take place and this event is taking place in a GLTDR state :p

Now that could change some things:D Chaz let us know if the ohio guys can help you any. I know where there is still free web space and i'll bet he would even be in to running the site. Im sure he will chime in soon.

So the others know what's going on:GLTDR to run the show-n-shine and burnout competition, special parking for members, recruiting area, banner on the track, and much more!

Thank you DHRA!!!

I have some webspace that can be used, and I will be getting more space soon. Just let me know what I can do.

AWESOME, Id be willing to help in any way. I dont want to be stuck parking people but working sidelines to the truck pulls/drags would be awesome!

This is a awesome perk to the club. If we had a vendors booth or something to provoke non-members to the insite on the club. that would be killer!

I am trying to get a list of people who will help out and that we can count on. Sorry Eric I just want to see how many will help before we talk and what we can do or get my ducks in a row thats all.

No problem Chaz, the sooner the better, so you can take advantage of the advertising opportunities. I meet with the ad company next week so we can start working on TV and print ads.

Anyone know who has the banners to GLTDR? or what they look like (pic?) Maybe we'll have to get graphic man to design a new one?

I just got off the phone with Eric and it was great talking with him. Had a lot of fun talking diesels and what he’s working on. What I need now is a show of hands that will be willing to help in parking the show and shine trucks; Help out at the GLTDR display booth; Help count the ballots from the show and shine and with the burn out contest. It doesn’t mean that you have to work the entire time you are there just a few hours at a time. We can alternate the times and what you do. What we need to do is come up with a sticker and membership card for the GLTDR members. We also have to come up with a flyer telling members what we are trying to do with the GLTDR chapter. What I ask now is that members here give Ideas on how the flyer should look and what it should say on it so we can pass it out at Indy. You ask what does a membership card do for me or what can it do? Well if we keep at it then maybe we can get discounts on parking at events or discounts on parts over the net. We could give members numbers on the card to show that they are apart of GLTDR and documented. We just need to see how it turns out.

Thanks for reading and I’m looking forward to hearing from everyone.

we are lacking in actual members right now. there are only eight paid members. lets see how good of a showing we can make everyone.
