Merry Christmas Everybody

How many lights do you have up this year?

I saw this a couple months ago and lost the disk so I could not post it. It is one of the most interesting trucks I have EVER seen. I talked to the owner for a couple minutes to get some information

It is: 1974 W200, 360, auto, in excess of 400K miles (can't remember when the odometer broke), one engine rebuild and "a couple" transmissions.

If you look closely you will see that the cancer treatment of the truck was done with bumperstickers, sheets of them. He had a contact at a printer and would get setups and over runs. The passenger back cab section has been replaced by a corner of an old Westinghouse automatic buss enclosure that has been welded in. The stacks are standard black iron pipe, 2", and fitted with standard fittings. The mother in law tongues on them are hand fabbed. Coon tail on the antenna is real. Function of the device on the hood is unknown. Air horns work off an air conditioning compressor.

This truck is run about 70 miles a day round trip on the freeway at speeds of 60-65 MPH, and has been since the day he brought it home BRAND NEW. I asked him if I could get a picture of it and bring it to you guys and he was gracious enough to allow it. Really a nice fella, and he LOVES his Dodge.

EDIT: pic forthcoming as I resize it down.

LOL, no Fest but don't think I was not thinking of Mark when I saw it. Mark would take that truck over a brand new PSD:--)

What state was this in ?

The rust indicates a northern home but the rest of the stuff make's me think more southern

Thing on front

I think the "thing on front" is a wind speed and direction, off a sail boat or weather station. Cool ride. Lots of personality as some might say.

NOW I know where MCummings got the idea for his stacks :D ;) :D .

Just kidding Merrick...

Reminds me of my dad and the '77 Scottsdale he had. You had to have the floormats positioned just right to keep your feet from getting wet when it rained :D .

Scott

Better watch it Scott,, I'm gonna go up there and park my truck right smack dab in the middle of your driveway, and not leave the keys :D

hehe, But My stacks are bigger, and chrome :D

That is an unusual truck though...
