Gotta love a good junkyard ;) . Found this exhaust elbow off a C-Series Cummins with a HX40 in a medium sized rear engine bus. Drops straight down and looks like what we need for our 1st gen firewall. Part number on it is 3927882 or possibly 3927862, looks closer to 82. I'll let yall know how it works in the next few weeks.

GOOD FREEKIN WORK!!!!!!!!! that looks an awful lot like a certain component in a certain someone's twin set up. that thing is cool.

Yep I was just looking at Stomp's RR's. Looks very similar but I don't think his chokes down so much. Still I don't think it chokes too much to be concerned, as it still has plenty of 'area' inside it. A bunch of C-series in this yard but very few B-series. . what gives?

Good find Bill

Hey that does look vaguely familiar and mine is missing. J/K :-laf I think you found exactly what you needed to get that HX40 and a true 4" stuffed under the hood. You wont have near the restriction that I had when I was running a HX40. I never did have a HX40 down pipe. I had a plate made up so that I could keep my pacbrake mounted to the back of the turbo. So I hade to have mine necked down to 3". Big restriction coming off the back of the turbo, but I still got 419hp up at Piers on #2 only. Now enough talking get to work on getting that turbo/elbow under the hood so you can burn all of that excess fuel. :-laf

thought that these engines could be re-sleeved?

They can be sleeved if damage to the block is too great to be repaired by boring.

I think I'll go get a closer look and verify the part number. But if thats the going rate, I REALLY scored one since I got it free!!
