I6 versus V8

Rice burner conversion

Everyone always jokes about Walmart taking anything back, well they reached a new low. I stoped in to pickup a few galons of Rotela snythetic so I could change the oil in my womans car and change filters in my truck. As i was walking out I knowticed some oil on the out side of one of the jugs but didn't think much of it since i was in a hurry to go check on a job that I had going. I finaly get home and drain the oil out of her car and get ready to put some fresh stuff in and when I open the jug the seal is gone and theres nice and black oil in the jug. I just couldn't belive it, I grabed the other jug and it was the same. So off to town I go to return this crapp wondering how much bs it will be and theres no place better to be than a walmart right before X-mas  . After talking to the first customer service lady theyhad the store manager come out to figure out what was going on. An of course they think I'm trying to get over on them, but I told them , the 30 bucks isn't worth the bs I'm going through becasue my time is worth much more. So finaly they said ok go grab 2 more and its all good. Would you belive the remaining 4 bottles in the rack were the same way, and worse since they were even covered in even more oil than the ones I first got. I told the guy if i was going to do something like this i'd atleast clean the bottles up before returning them. So i wasted a couple hours and about5 bucks in fuel because of thier bs.

Waitaminit!!!!! you're blaming Walmart!!! Sounds like they took a return twice without putting you or that dishonest person before you without putting you through the wringer!!!!

Makes me wonder how some idiots/cheapskate can sleep at night,i but i do believe "what goes around comes around"usually twice as bad---they will get theirs someday and probable complain till the bitter end. :-laf :-laf :-laf

I blame wal mart

The guys at Wal Mart should have had enough brains to take the cap off the jugs, inspect them, and look at the oil inside before putting it back on the shelf. Seems if they can do oil changes at the Supercenter, those dipsticks (pun intended) :-laf know what used oil looks like. DUH!

I always inspect the jugs before I take 'em home! :-laf

It's not Wal-Mart, it is just stupid people as a whole. I heard of someone buying a $1700. 00 video camera from Best Buy and when they got it home all that was in the box was a jar of tomato sauce for weight. The real world isn't much different than highschool! "A few winners... . A whole lot of losers!" Why should a store be any different?

especially if the jug is covered with oil as these were.

Of course I agree,, it does not alleviate the responsibility of the store to make sure what is being returned is what was originally sold.

My family has worked in retail for a long time. It is no picnic. You cannot always blame either the employee for a store policy or the store for an inept handling of a customer or a customers demand. (In this case the return)

Some stores tell their employees to take a return without question or receipt. The thought is that most customers are honest.

I never buy a package that has been opened and resealed no matter what!!!

caveat emptor

HMMmmmm - waitamimute!

This has even BETTER potential than the Amsoil "save the cost of the synthetics by using extended drains" bit! :p

Simply pay a one time cost for an oil change, refill the jugs with the used oil, and return the dirty stuff for an exchange or refund!

"FREE" oil changes for the rest of your life!

What a concept - but apparently someone else already thought of it... :-laf :-laf
