Telling Me I Am Not A Member

Admin, Is there any way we could possibly get a genuine parts logs on the site for each year of the CTD's? A place where each member can at their desire enter a price and place of purchase for a part. I have been a member for some time and I see lots and lots of threads wanting to know where they can buy the best this or that for the money or how much is this going to cost me? All we would need is a column for part name, part number, price, and store purchased at. This week for example I lost my transfer case and called multiple places for the best deal on a new one and ended up with a very wide price range but got one for 850. 00 new price. The next guy may not call the same places as me and find the best deal he can at 1100. 00 and therefore pay that much, but had he known where I bought one for 850. 00 he would have called them instead. Kinda like with Genos Garage..... I had never heard of them until I became a member here and have gotten many good deals there that I would have paid much more for elsewhere and its because I heard on here that they have great customer service and pricing. It would also help guys find the right part number for their specific truck like if searching for a price on a MAP sensor for a 2000. I started a thread looking for the right number but ended up with no right answer and had to spend 2 hours at Cummins looking thru parts books to get the right one, but with a parts log on here I may have found the right number in minutes. maybe under each model year we could have a breakdown of truck areas like in the classifieds to list things under. I would as well volunteer to help moderate the area as needed since Im on TDR about 3 hours each day anyways. I think we could eliminate multiple threads started looking for part numbers or the right place to buy and free up enough web server space doing so to get the log going and keep it going. Maybe we could even run a trial log and see how it goes. It wouldn't have to be fancy by any means, but I bet it would be a great success and a great bonus feature to being a TDR paying member.

God Bless, Chris Snyder

I like the idea!

If you need a hand let me know... . Lord knows I spend to much time on here as well!

Might as well put it to good use!
