I was thinking of changing my sterio and speakers. I was wandering if a newer model (say '01) A-Pillar cover with the tweeter in it will fit a '95 model? Has anyone tried this?

Tom

In '98 the A-pillar along with much of the cab got redesigned inside. The older style pillar has a leg, which extends down the side of the dash that the newer ones don't. Other then that difference you might be able to make a newer one work I'm not sure. I do know for sure that they are different and it would take some modifying to do it if it would work at all.

Put tweeters in the doors

I am in the process of replacing my stereo and speakers in my '95. My plan is to fabricate adaptors to hold the 6. 5"s where the 6"x9" are now, and cut holes in the door panels for the tweeters, in that plastic area in front of where the cloth ends.

plangone, the area you suggest for your tweeters is where the tweeters are on my '95s Infinity system. Perhaps it would be easier and cleaner looking for you just to buy what it takes for that setup.

I thought about putting tweeters where the infinity tweeters go but I don't think they sound as good on the door at elbow level as they do higher up on the A-pillar. That is why I was wandering if I could make the newer style covers work. If it gets to be to much of a modifying thing I will most likely get some grill covers from Dodge for that area that the infinity tweeters goes.

I don't know if its exactly what you are looking for, but Radio Shack has some SWEET tweeters that are stick on and directional, they are only $20 and work great. You may just want to look into those...
