Anyone else have the issue of the grab handle breaking from the A pillar? I put it back up but because the mount is broken the next time it gets used it breaks again. I purchased several replacements from the dealer but eventually they break too. I searched and found these that fixed my problem permenantly. You could do chinups on the handle now. :-laf

Mine broke a couple of times too. I just recently replaced with a guage pod. The repair kit is pretty expensive but if you need the grab handle seems like the way to go.

A little expensive but it was more of a safety issue for me. The wife was climbing into the passenger side of the truck and it broke on her If there wasn't a car next to us at the time she would have hit the ground.

For that price does it include enough to repair all the mounting points on both pillars?

Also, how does it work? I see a set of small cylinders and a set of larger ones. Do they just sandwich on each side of the plastic screw pocket?

For what it's worth, I've already hit the ground once due to the pillar breaking.

Mine broke several years ago, I epoxyed a washer into the bottom of the mount and fiberglassed the outside of the mount and it's been solid for 3 years! It took less than 30 minutes.

The kit is enough to do both drivers and passenger side of the truck. The parts do exactly as you stated TradedV-10foraCummins sandwich the broken plastic handle parts.

Are those bushings just a press fit? Seem like the plastic would pull right out of em.

Mine just broke yesterday. I glued it, knew that wouldnt hold "for cosmetic purposes only" and wouldn't you know it I grabbed it by habit anway. Whats dodge want for a new one? Thats actually covered by the warranty?

Yep, mine broke on the passenger side and unfortuntely the day it broke off my wife was getting in the truck and she went flat on the concrete on her back. I thought for sure she was hurt but she came out of it ok. I have a large man that rides in the passenger side with me quit often and i was kringing everytime he grab it, these things are not made for weight. My wife is very short and not very heavy but when she fell it was hard. I guess over time with use with a lot of weight it weekend.

Mine broke few years back. Dodge parts replacement A Pillar was $27 I think. The new one was more sturdy around the bolts. But it is plastic and won't stand up to constant full weight entries.
