just got my A-pillar mount from Ginos. When I ordered the mount I told the lady I wanted the colored one. When it came today it was color molded not painted. I saw a thread on here a while back asking if it was molded or painted.

Fit was perfect, only had to shave a little material from the inside of one of the guage openings. I removed the old pillar and put the tan trim piece on the new mount. secured it with some tape on the back side ( i dont think it would have moved just wanted a little extra security ).

looks great, i'll post some pics tomorrow in my readers rigs.

Gary,

I take it you didn't cut off the grab handle. Can you see the back of the gauges through the windshield? Thanks.

i removed the entire stock a pillar, so i didnt have to cut off the handle. I cannot see the back of the guages through the windshield. the only thing holding the new pillar in place is one screw that is supplied with the kit. the dash holds the rest tight against the windshield and door trim.

Thank's Gary,

I ordered the Di-Pricol EGT and 0-35 Boost gauges today along with the color moulded 2 pod a-pillar mount:D . Sounds like the way to go:cool: . Edit: I checked out the job on Reader's Rigs and it looks great:)

When we install these gauge mounts we use the factory pillar with the handle cut off so the welting from the factory pillar will cover the crack between the black out on the windshield and the back of the gauge mount. We also have the mounts with the color molded in or painted in our complete kits and will soon have the Di-Pricol 2003 Dodge gauges available with chrome or black bezel.

I replaced the factory pillar with the guage mount pillar from Genos. Take the rubber welting off the stock pillar and install it on the guage mount pillar. The back of the guages are not visible from the outside of the windshield. It makes a very sanitary installation. It is a good fit without any trimming, and looks much nicer than installed over the stock pillar with the handle sawed off.
