Hey guys,
I've got Thurs/Fri off this week so I thought a good project for part of one of the days would be to relocate my gauges from the cubby/under dash where they're now positioned to up on the a-pillar with a 3-gauge pod. Good chance I can run down to Diesel Dynamics and pick up a pod ok so that's not a biggie.
Just wondering how easy the stock a-pillar is to remove as well as how the tweeter attaches to the cover i. e. can you "trash" the stock cover like so many folks talk about doing if you have the tweeter? I seem to remember not having any wire to spare for my thermocouple leads going into my gauge over in the cubby, can't image going up on the a-pillar would be a longer run?
I'm thinking this shouldn't be that big of a deal as I already have the gauges in use so wiring shouldn't be that much of an issue to re-route, but again was curious about the pillar cover install itself.
Thanks in advance.
p. s. What's a good/popular order of positioning for a-pillar gauge placement?
