why do a lot of people use the holley blue fuel pump. when i read the specs it makes me believe that its not too much better then the stock. I am not looking to put one on my truck i was just reading about them. here are the specks i found on holleys site

New lower housing casting for enhanced fuel flow
Motor draws only 3 amps current
7 1/2 amp fuse recommended
Improved design for street/strip applications
Flows 110 GPH (free flow)
Flows 88 GPH at 9 PSI
Maximum pressure is 14 PSI
Provides constant fuel flow with no pulsation
Has externally accessible pressure relief valve (max 14 PSI)
Rotor/Vane pump design is more tolerant of contaminated fuels
Can be serviced from either pump end or brush cap end
NOT compatible with alcohol or methanol fuels
Not designed or recommended for use with fuel injection systems

Holley Performance Products 110 GPH "Blue" Electric Pump Without Regulator*12-812-1

just asking a question if you have one maybe tell why you chose that if you do not have one and bought something differnt share why also. i chose the fass 150 because i liked the filter setup and the volume and pressure it can flow. i also knew that i was going to be bombing my truck when i bought it.

Probably because they are very similar in style to the OEM Carter pump. When my stock LP crashed, I put a Holley on the frame but use the new HP 150 Gerotor pump, and love it. It has been flawless and is much quieter than the vane style pumps.

I'm at about 350-375hp, 675 ft-lb. RV275's and Edge EZ. Not sure what the hp limit is that this pump could feed, but I'm guessing it's quite a bit more than where I am at.

Holley Blue

Just yesterday I put on my second "Blue" on the frame. I only see 14 psi but I have not tried a stronger spring in the relief valve. The "Blue" I purchased was on ebay at $98 and was a china made holley for a perfromance distribution company. I was not aware of the Holley gear rotar pump but looks like a good option and I will probably go there on the next round ( approx 45k miles) seems the life of any of the vane pumps. Gary had a post some years on the Walbro pump, frame mounted and this too I think is a gear pump and is quiet. I'm already set up on the frame for the Holley footprint so I will probably stay with it and it looks like the gear rotar pump will fit in nicely!
