I'm trying to find out if the brake controller comes with a metal bracket that would allow mounting on the top of the dash above the instrument cluster. I know it comes with a plastic bracket for under dash mounting.

A visit to their website leads me to believe it's not included. See this link for the bracket I'm referring to:

Prodigy Bracket

I have recently purchased a Prodigy brake controler and it came with both brackets all included in the box. I did buy it in Canada but I do not think that will be any different in the United States.

Denis, thanks for the info. Where did you mount the controller? I just can't seem to find a decent place under the dash so it's going up top.

I bought one in the US and two in Canada and each controller came with both type brackets.

Mine came with both brackets as well. I mounted mine under the dash to the right of the throttle. I have pics of mine in my readers rigs.

Mine just came last week and had both brackets. I used the plastic quick disco one mounted at 60 degrees(within limits) to the knee bolster to the right of the steering wheel.

Canadaian Eh.

Well Scotty you are probaly right, like what do you mean Eh!

I am a Brit living in Canada have been since 1986, and loving it.

I am working on becoming a cowboy, but people tell me I need to work on the accent.

All the best .

Just under the steering wheel on the right side with the metal bracket worked perfect for me.

BTW you will love the Prodigy!

I'll probably go with something temporary (I have velco laying around from other projects) at first just to make sure I like having it on the dash before punching holes in it. I popped off the trim around the instrument cluster over the weekend to verify there's room to snake the harness down to the connector. At some point I'd like to add a mount for my GPS unit and a few gauges.

On my 00 I screwed it to the outside of the ashtray. ran the wires between the bottom of the ashtray and the dash. Left the screws a little loose ( not extremly tight to the unit and could move it a little to keep it in operating angle when I would check the fuel pressure gauge IN the ashtray.

On the bolster and under the dash on drivers side would cause ocassional collisions with my knee or shin. :{
