I have heard SAM and DAVE of 2 guy's garage mention SWENCO products for a few years now, but never paid it much attention. Recently with having so many wiring projects to do, I began to think about their products and looked them up. I thought they looked great and decided to stock them. Word of caution, they are a little more then the standard crimp connectors, but offer more too. I really liked the ability to take the connector apart and not have to cut and strip the wire again. This really comes in handy, many things only have about 6" of wire when they are new, and after a few cuts, that wire is down to nothing. i got in a large assortment of the connectors, and used them over the weekend to install a dual a-pillar mount w/2 Auto Meter gages, a 5" monster tach, and a new MSD DIS-2 ignition (that makes spark for you diesel only guy's). Also I had to install a cold air kit and the air temp sender had to be extended, all of which I used the SWENCO connectors for. What a nice job they make, I had too cut the plug on the two coil packs, and re-route the power and trigger wires to the MSD, and then re-feed the coils. The connectors proved to be a very good choice, They made a very good connection, and the take apart feature came in handy as I made a few mistakes along the way. I really never thought about it, but they do offer a lot for the money. Especially when you are very limited on the amount of wire at is available.

Just wanted to drop a note and let people know about a relatively new product that works very well. You might want to try them before the next gage install or anything electrical. They make a t-tap that is great, and puts the old way of splicing into a cable behind, just the thing for picking up power, or tapping the PCM wire for exhaust brake function. Good luck and give them a try.

Is this the barrel looking connector that has threaded ends that clamps onto the wire ends like they sell in the Geno's catalog?

It's funny that you posted about theese. I was just at Pep Boy's (Aka Air freshener heaven) and I saw THOUSANDS of theese loaded into a new rack. They also have the Pre filled dielectric ones too. Also in different colors , and AWG sizes. They differ slightly from the ones you describe as theese use the twist ends to drive theese piercing type clamps into the wire. as you unscrew the end caps the clamps release. Pretty cool indeed!

Posi and twist lock connectors

This I will agree on... they are great!:D They have weather proof ones as well three wire connectors etc. . you can also find them at Napa auto parts too!
