This may be a dumb question, but when I take my 99' in for auto trans. service does the fluid change include the fluid contained in the torque converter, or is that a different process?? Thanks...
 
If the pan is just removed, no it doesnt get all the fluid. Power flushing pushes out the old with new. It is done with the vehicle running. The pump in the transmission is what does the flush. We have one at work and it is quite amazing how dirty some the atf is when flushing transmissions.
