I was eating supper tonight when all of the sudden the wifes truck starts honking and flashing lights. I ran outside in my socks, locked it and unlocked it several times, then I ran in to get the remote for the alarm. Back outside I was arming and disarming but no good. Finally I fired it up and turned on the lights. At this point I am sitting in a rattling Cummins with the horn honking on off on off on off lights are now on high low high low locked unlocked locked unlocked you get the picture. I drove it to the shop opened the shop door ran through the dirty shop in my socks grabbed a 1/2 inch to unhook the batteries and it stopped. Should I trust it, should I go ahead and unhook the batteries, should I just throw the wrench at it? I decided to take the wrench to the house in case it does it again. When I got to the house the wife gave me my lost alarm remote which is covered in macaroni from my 16 month old. :-laf :-laf

Friend of mines Mercedes was doing a similar thing, no one could figure it out. Quite by accident she found out it was being triggered by an electric dog training collar remote from over a mile away.

In my house in Italy, I found a light switch that didn't seem to do anything. I'd go over and flip it up and down several times and then leave it alone. A few days later, I'd do it again. A few weeks later, I received a letter in the mail from a lady in Germany telling me to stop.

Ok, maybe I'm dense, but how did she know you were throwing the switch on and off? What was the switch doing? Am waiting with bated breath!

I know of a retired electrical engineer(in his eighties still very with it, he help out at his former job twice a week) he had a lamp not working he thought the outlet was bad so he asked a friend that is painter by trade (but a jack of all trades) to come check it out. He comes to look at it he walks over to a switch on the wall flips it on and the lamp light turned on.

This engineer lived in the house for 30 years. Never knew the switch worked the outlet, he was quite embarrassed about it.
