Trailer wiring question

11.6 MPG's ?????

What a trip the wife and I took this past weekend, we live about 35 miles south of Birmingham and my sister lives in Queens, who is moving (moved) back home. The wife and I left friday morning with a 12' U-haul trailer for New York, by sunday afternoon at 1:00 where home with all her stuff. 2004 miles of which the wife only relieved me of about 100 miles. We were only in New York City about 4 hours! A long way to go for such a short time! And get this, we went through Baltimore on our way up so that I could eat at Phillips seafood, from there we started picking up tolls all the way through into New York and then a few on the way out for a total of about $91. 00 :--)

Wow thats a long ride. I have done Charlotte to eastern LI and back a few times, usually with a uhaul, in the course of moving my in-laws and my family down. found out the biggest uhaul trailers handle pretty well at double the speed it says on the fenders. Oops. The Tolls are out of hand! 4 Hours in Queens thats 3 hours and 55 minutes more than I like to be there.

Yeah - why would anyone want to live there?? What did the New Yorkers think about a straight-piped Cummins roaring through town?:-laf

Man you should have seen the looks on their faces when I roared through town, what with all the bridges, buildings and tunnels for it to echoe off of was pretty cool! You just do not see trucks like ours in town period or any trucks for that manner, too many tight squeezes for my liking. People looked at me like I was driving a spaceship around. :D Drove into Brooklyn to pick up some help and the guy was about 10 floors up, when he came down he said he could hear me coming about 2 blocks away.
