AAA 3:42 Gears Available

Forgive me if this has been discussed somewhere else, been off site for almost a year... ... ... ... ...



Has anyone gotten a cost on the 3:42 gear set now available from AAA for the '03 to '06 Rams?



I did a search here and could not find anything before I asked... .

I priced them about a year ago... it would have been over $750 for the gears alone (9. 25 and 11. 50), and then the cost for the ring gear spacer for the 9. 25 and bearings.



It was cost prohibitive too me...

Hmmmm, well maybe now that they are into OEM production, they could be cheaper... ... ... . but you are right, at over a grand to change them out it would not be cost effective.

Checked with Ft. Worth Gear and they will install a set of the 3:42s for $750 out the door... ... . Now I know. Thought I would pass it on. That in effect would be the same final drive ratio of the NV5600 and 3:73s. I liked that combo.

Was that front and rear? The price I was quoted was more than that for just the gearsets.
