I think that the cost of a custom set of gears would cost so much that the added fuel milage would never make up the cost. I would also like taller gears, maybe not 3. 07 but I think 3. 36 would be good. I think that with the final drive of my G56 combined 3. 36's would be similar to the 3. 55's that were available in the 2nd gen's with the nv5600. And for anyone that says that taller gears wouldn't work for towing seem to forget that with a manual transmission I can tow in whatever gear I want. If I can tow in 6th now at say 2500rpm, with the taller gears I would just use 5th for towing (at slower speeds) and use 6th for empty milage.
I wouldn't rule out 3. 07's, I'm up for anything as long as the jump is large enough to actually notice. (3. 73 to 3. 55 would be worthless)
