There has been alot of talk about the right oil. Attn: to I think the persons name is John Holms, not sure on spelling, out of the Reno- Carson city area and help from all else is great too. I got a coupon for a free L. O. F. and I recall Carson City Dodge just uses Casteroil, Spelling wrong, Everyone here says dont use it. So, whats the deal if all the Dodges serviced in C. C. have it in and what I can tell the engines arent going to last as long or what. Or is it a faulse sence of security C. C. Dodge has everyone under. Thanks to all for input.

Make sure that the oil that they put in is rated for your engine. Rather than try to remember the ratings, just look in your owners manual for them. As long as they don't use oil for a gas engine you should be fine.

The oil must be CH-4/SJ rated to use in our Cummins. Castrol does make oil that meet this spec, but it is not the Syntec we are all familiar with, it is called Dieselall. Also they have an oil called Fuelmax that meets these specs.

Carson City Dodge is a first class operation and would not do something that stupid. Better check with them before posting or at least get first hand experience before this kind of posting.
