Got Clutch and guages done, so I checked to see what everything was at and went to #5 w/ Mild TM the EGT's are really controlable... I can punch it and I will run out of road and barely get my EGT's to 1,200* pre. Boost is at 28#. Was wondering if I can go to the aftermarket turbo programs to get my wastgate up higher and go up to #7 or #9 with stock turbo and if so what will my boost be at then and how much is too much boost on the stock turbo?

Still trying to figure out if the TM means anything with a manual 6spd? I know this new program is boat loads better then the stock software I got with the programmer. I was almost about to throw the thing away if I couldn't find out how to update the sofware, but I managed to figure it out with some help.

Also what is ideal boost and EGT's @70mph? I am at 700* and 10# with 55* weather @ 450' elevation.

Appreciate any help,

Justin

You should hit 32psi stock... and the Smarty does boost fooling... thou I cant recall if it takes aftermarket turbo software on the Sr... I have heard dont got much over 40 on the stock turbo... me I dont want to run over 35.

I run 9-10#'s and ~600 F while cruising at 70 mph but I have stock sized tires and a Fass, which lowers egts a little.

I went ahead and tried that software last night. Went to same Mild TM, but aftermarket turbo and same # 5 setting I have been running and it does boost to 38# now.

EGT's are down from 700* to 600* this morning with same boost & mph, but it was 43* weather instead of 55*, so I am sure that it is the variable that changed it all and not the program.

I can't get the EGT's to climb anymore than a hair over 1,000* pre now from 1,200* which was still great, I can get top end pulling a little harder now. I guess it doesn't matter which program I really have, because EGT's were fine before with safe boost levels which I don't see 38# being hard on the stock turbo. I don't tow anything anyways.

One thing I want to note that I haven't noticed before last night is that when I approached 100mph on a straightaway outside of town with no one in sight and peaking at 38# boost and hair over 1,000* EGT, I felt a little blip like the power cut out for a very quick split second. I heard it more then felt it and probably wouldn't have noticed it if the radio was on.
