I have read all the threads about transmission work and what should be done. The BD torgue converter and pressure lock. Since I am not a transmission specialist and they require checking pressures on installation, can anyone tell me where I can get this work done? I live in the southern Ca. area near Riverside. I have the Banks powerpack installed and don't want to waste the transmission. My problem is finding someone that knows what to do with the transmission and how to set it up. You talk to some transmission shops and they look at you with a puzzeled look on their face. I don't need that. I would like to take it to someone that if familiar with the auto transmission and all the power the cummins puts out. Can someone help me?

Thanks for your time.

Bryan.

Thanks for your reply but I was looking for someone local. Washington is a long ways to drive for me. Does Bill have someone that he could recommend for me locally? Maybe I should call him.

Thanks

Bryan

bigfoot , just a TC and pressure lock are not going to do anything for you , you need a modified VB , like bob says , call DTT , they can hook you up with someone down that way ,you may have to drive a bit to get the install but it will be done correctly and you should and will leave a happy customer .

Thanks for the replys guys. I am going to give cscpusher a chance to reply via email and if it all works out, I will make a trip to Phoenix.

Thanks, Bryan

Try ACT Performance in the San Fernando Valley. I called Bill K's shop and they said that ACT performance installs their TC & VB. I don't have their phone number but they should be in the book.

Purchase a pressure gauge at NAPA($52)and hook it up yourself to the port on the passenger side of the transmission, should be around 52lbs stock. After a Valve Body install, you should have around 70 to 80 psi.
