First long tow impressions!

I really do like the new flip out mirrors, but would like them to be electric remote controlled... espeically since I went to push them back to the "non-towing" mode and broke the driver side mirror! #ad

So, I suggest (if you have the flip outs) try to push them into position with as wide a force as possible on the edges of your mirror. My passenger mirror is not as stiff and it moved just fine. Now, to see if the "Bumper to Bumper" warranty is what DC says it is! #ad

Tag,

Sorry to hear it. Thanks for the warning. I'll be careful with mine. I hope this isn't common, but yours isn't the first I've heard of this happening.

My passenger side towing mirror shattered when I folded it back so I could open my door while on my above ground lift. Man was I P***ed off. It is cheaper to buy the whole kit than 1 mirror. I have a brand new left side towing mirror I will sell you for half the price of the kit I got at wholesale. Tagalong if they don't warrenty it for you let me know.

Thanks Walter,
I'll keep that in mind... it'll be interesting to see what DC has to say!!

Here's the follow-up to see if the Dealership would replace the mirror under warranty...
The Service writer laughed when I told him I broke the mirror because of the (defect) binding of the mirror. He said it was MY FAULT not a defective part. I called Customer Service, she said basically the same and that it was my fault. I persisted, stating that the part is the problem due to the force requied to move the mirror. She then became "professionally polite" and said that I can have the Dealer "inspect" the mirror... I did and due to the original service writers predisposition to the breakage being my fault, I hoped to have an unbiased service writer inspect and adjust the same mirror. Luckily, I met with the Service Manager. Told him the entire story. He moved the mirror and noted the stiffness of movement... he said, "I'll give you a mirror!" #ad
Chock one up for the little guy!
