Ok i want to take my truck to the truck pull this saturday at dragway 42, but have some concerns. what r the chances that i will break something on my rig?? i already have enough problems i dont need ne more. you can see my list of mods. i am putting about 300 hp and 700 ftlbs and i have an auto trans. some reassurance would be great.

Well, I get called a sissy for sitting on the sidelines with a 450HP truck, and not pulling, but unless you have at least $3000 put away to cover breakage, I wouldn't do it. The cheapest thing you can break is an u-joint. The most expensive thing you can bust is your transmission, I see by your signature that you have a stock automatic. Those usually go up in smoke after a couple pulls. Get some DTT stuff in that transmission, or go down to Thornville, Ohio and get Dave Mitchell at Enterprise to work a little magic on your transmission.

I'll be there, your transmission will live at least one pull. ;)

Put it in low range drive and pull it, it will spin out before it breaks. DON"T SHIFT DOWN AT THE END LIKE PSD BOY LAST WEEKEND! OUCH!

Normal hitch height, don't let air out, don't weight up, it will be fine.

We'll coach you, I have only smoked clutches to this point!
