I blew the brake line that runs to the back axle on top of the gas tank. Ever since my brake light stays on. If I disconnect the batteries the brake light will go out, but when I start the truck, it will slowly come back on. Starts out dim and gets brighter.

Anyone run into this issue?

My problem was one of two things I fixed:
Abs sensor on top of rear axle, or a small vacuum leak in the cruise control line. *Fixing those two things seems to have fixed my lights coming on.

It could have been either one. '96s and earlier have a vacuum pressure switch in the ABS system.
