2nd Gen Non-Engine/Transmission ABS/Brake light/No Blower/No Power window & Speedo bounces?

Folks I have searched this out and did not find a thread to match my symptoms.



I have concluded that it has to do with the steering column as it only happens when I release the tilt to the full up position which is usually when parking. Last night I released the tilt while travelling and the ABS and Brake lights came on and the speedo bounced some. BUT the blower and windows continued to operate?

The only threads that I found close were in the 1st Gen area and referred to fuse links and ignition switch.

Any ideas?

Pull the steering colum shrouds off you will probably see a physical problem at the ignition switch connector or a fatigued wire.

Thanks Bob,



I found the problem to be a broken wire at the plug to the ignition. :--) Took the plug apart and recrimped the wire in the existing stake on connector.
