My Brake and ABS lights are on. I have 4 wheel ABS. I tested the rear speed sensor and it was good. I checked the wiring and it is not damaged. I fixed a vacuum leak above my turbo and now my AC vent selector works. But my lights are now on all the time. First it was intermittent and then it went to on most of the time and then it would go off on left hand turns and no it is stuck on all the time.
I just found that the bolt is missing from the left sensor where is attaches to the knuckle. My question is does this sensor need to be grounded with that bolt and is this my problem?
I have ordered the bolt but it comes in on Thursday night and I am heading for a trip on Friday morning. I am Hauling a load over the grapevine in the rain on Friday and would like ABS for that trip. Should I keep looking or did I find my problem? The sensor seems to be held in but it does rotate a little. After I put the bolt back do I need to adjust the sensor or recalibrate or do anything else? Thanks for your replies in advance.
