I have noticed some noise from the left front wheel and some vibration from that wheel. Been doing it since the ball joint replacement. The other day the ABS light came on and of course no codes. How much is this going to cost me? Do I have to buy new bearing hubs at the dealer or can i get them aftermarket? This truck has really been nickel and diming me to death this past year.

Gary, Got to www.quad4x4.com . Cheaper than the dealer. The front hub assembly with ABS are hard to locate. Anything is better than paying dealer prices. I payed $400. 00 a side when I did mine. That was with a slight discount from a New York *******.

350 bucks, ouch... . what happened to the good old days when i could just knock off the dust cover and yank the bearings and put new ones in for a couple of bucks.

Gary

Hey Gary, check out Ebay item number - 7967405254. I know this item is not for your truck but send them an email and they can probably help you out. The $160 sounds a lot better than what quad4x4 is asking. Hopes this helps. Clay

Gary, www.rockauto.com has them for $291. 97 a piece. Quad4X4.com has the assemblies for $299. 00 less the tool kit. These are cheap compared to the dealer. Even Napa has the the 4 wheel ABS front assemblies for $384. 16 a piece. I think you jinxed me. My left front hub bearing seperated yesterday. I was close to home and pulled over before the wheel came off.

I looked at rock auto, didn't see it listed. I am going to hook a scan tool to it tomorrow and if it is that wheel than I am sure it is the wheel bearing for sure.

Gary

Gary, You're right. Rock Auto has one listed for my '98 truck, but nothing for '01 trucks. Maybe give them a call. I don't understand the difference in price between the '94-'99 and '00-'02 hub assemblies. I realize they are different parts but $50. 00 difference between the two. I don't get it.
