Hi all,

I have recently purchased a 95 Dodge 2500,4wd,5spd. ,with 5. 9L 12V. 181K miles on it. I now have the ABS/Brake lights on. After checking things over I found that there is a switch/sensor? mounted under a U-shaped bracket on the inner D/S fender well near the hood hinge. It has a three pin electrical connector on the side of it and a vacuum line to the top of it. The vacuum line is broken off. I have plugged the vacuum line and unplugged the connector. The lights are now off and brakes don't seem any different. I've read on some other sites that this is an ABS vacuum sensor or a low vacuum warning switch. Some say it's needed for the operation of the ABS,C/C,A/C vents others say it's just for the warning lamps. Can anyone tell me for sure if this is needed? I checked with a couple of dealers an they don't have a clue and can't find the part#, no surprize there though! Does anyone have the part# for this thing?

Thanks in advance

Rick.
