Abs&Brake lights on

I need to know what the codes for a 93 D250 are. I did the key on/off trick and got a 1355 code I think. Can anybody tell me what this is. :{

My book doesn't have a 13 or 55 listed for diesels

on cars 55 is end of check and 13 is map signal

It doesn't show any codes for the brakes. When both of my lights came on the booster was bad.

Thanks for the reply i have already replaced the speed sensor on rear diff and the master cyl. So i guess the booster is next.

ABS light

This is a common problem and it probably has nothing to do with the booster. My trucks have done this and required bleeding. There is a valve on the frame at the back that must be bled out as well. It is a very agravating chore.



You can disconnect the ABS controller and that will make the light go out. It is behind the glove box. The brake light will still work with the park function.



Do a search. The ABS is generally useless on these trucks and in some cases dangerous to your health.



This is not a recomendation, just my opinion.

Key on-off doesn't work for the ABS lights. You need to ground the ABS unit behind the glove box and the ABS lights will flash your codes. There is a single wire in the harness out of the controller that you ground for about 5 seconds to pull the codes.



A problem spot is a connector on the frame rail above the left rear tire in the ABS harness. It will get dirty and not make contact. It needs to be cleaned and greased and see if that helps.
