I have a 1995 2500 and both my ABS & brake lights stay on after I start the truck. I had the Dodge dealer replace the rear axle speed sensor. Now a year later and 9000 miles and I am getting the same problem except sometimes when I start the truck the lights will go out but very shortly after I start driving they come on again. Does anyone have a idea of the real problem :--) and how to fix?

Thanks

JJ

The front ABS sensors will also cause this problem. I was doing some suspension work on my gasser and severed an abs cable. The abs and brake lights sayed on till I replaced the cable. If yours is NOT 4x4 the area between the round rubber (baby bumper :) ) doesn't have a whole lot of clearance and the cable on either side could be severed or crushed

95's dont use the rear speed sensor for the speedometer. If the ligts come on after you start and before you start to move I would look at the vacuum system, but only on pre 1997 trucks that use a vacumm brake booster. Are the HVAC controls working correctly? Check out this TSB/recall

Try disconnecting it to see if the lights go out. If they do look at the two wire bundle connectors in the space between the body and the fender liner behind the drivers side front tire. One of them may be full of water.
