My abs pump motor keeps running after I shut my truck off. I took it to a local shop this morning to see what was wrong but their scan tool wouldnt read anything on the brakes. We played around with a test light and came to the conclusion that the circuit board that sits on top of the pump is shorting out and telling the pump to run continuously. I called the not so trustworthy local dodge dealer and they told me that the motor was bad. I told them what we had found and they agreed but they are saying that the motor is going bad also and that I should replace it too. the circuit board is $370. 00 and I think the motor is around the same price. Please help

hello

Im not sure if your setup is the same as mine(1998 ABS) but i had the same problem as you are describing. I pulled the relay for the ABS(under the hood) and they eventually i bought a new abs controller( the part with the plug going into it held on by torx) the part was 250. 00. I read somewhere that the abs components are warrantied for a long time but didnt research it any further. i think you had to send your parts in to the manufactuer and they checked it out

hope this helps
