Just had the hubs and axle u-joints replaced. ABS light is on. Shop said will be on until it gets hot. Well, I've been driving it for over a week now and have been on a trip of 25 miles or so and is still on. What's up?

Take it back. The front wheel speed sensors come in new hubs. The light goes out after the bulb check time unless there is a problem.

yes they messed up. i changed 2 sets, never any codes or problems.
(even with shoving extra grease in the bearing by the abs hole. no problems)
Where are u in TX?

They screwed something up and the "it has to get hot" thing is pure BS.

Besides, nothing up there better get hot!

Ummm... ..... yeah. I say Ditto! If it's hot, it's screwed up already!!!! Either they screwed up a sensor or don't have it plugged in right.

I've sold a couple of hundred of these, as well as installed at least a dozen on my personal trucks and friends... my latest was my BIL's who lit the ABS light when he made a left/right turn and it would go off when the wheel came back straight... . we found that as you put tension on one of the cables as you turned the cable went open.

There is a specification for using an ohm meter for checking out the sensor...

We replaced the hub because I had one, and of course it came with a new cable and all was well.

BTW - these hubs can be lubricated using a high end synthetic grease. . When the rotors are off, you can pull the ABS sensor and grease the hub.
