yesterday I was leaving my house and noticed my abs light and the e-brake light stayed on. Today same thing, still on. What do you guys think it is? Take it to the dealer, or un-plug batteries and reset computer?

no speedo is fine. everything else is fine, but the two lights are stuck on. i did a test and the abs still works too, i figured if the light was on, the abs would not work. I think I jinxed my truck, took it in last week for my reverse lights going out now this. I'm worried about juicing it now.

If both lights are on I'd check the speed sensor (its on top of the rear differential) and is required for the control of the ABS brakes. You can unplug it and insert an 1800 ohm resister in the circuit. This will fool the computer into thinking that the sensor is working, but of course the ABS won't work. If you change it out yourself be really careful removing the sensor. Its plastic, and if you break it, it can be really costly getting the pieces out of the differential. i. e. pull axles and reset pinion.

You will probably need to reset the computer with a scantool. That should take care of the "abs" the emergency brake ia another issue that is mechanically activated off of the emergency brake not sure on that one. Let us know what you come up with. Guess you could take it in to the dealer.

thanks guys, my brother works at a dealership so I'll have him take it in. It was weird though, release park brake and both lights stay lit up.
