On my 01 my ABS light will blink quick. It seem to do this when slowing down and while sitting at a red light. and has done it while sitting still with out my foot on the brake. The light dosent do this every day. there are days that go by and no blink. there were a few times it stayed on for about 15 sec. most of the time its a quick flash.

Its been dry here no rain. The brakes work fine.

I checked and cleaned the rear senser conection.

And yes i did a search and only one thread came close but no help there.

So anybodyelse have this blink? Nothing is broke and no codes, but it is annoying somtimes.

Thanks for anyhelp

Ed

My 02 does the same thing. At first it set a 0500 code(speed sensor). Took it to the dealer and they said "no problem found". After the first visit it continued but the code never came back. Took it back again told them it was flashing but no codes came up. The techs notes on the paperwork said "BS". Is still does it to this day.

Bodybomber,

Mine has not thrown a code. and still flashes now and then.

Is there anybody else out there that has this problem and has found a fix?

My '94 did this when I first got it. I don't know if it applies to later models but I found a low vacuum switch on the left fenderwell that was triggering the brake and abs lights at stoplights and while idling. Low vacuum due to a rotten vacuum line to my speed control servo under the drivers side battery was the culprit.
