I have a problem with the ABS light on my '95. At first the ABS light would come on during the diganostics at startup. It started staying on a little longer than I thought it should after startup, but would go out and stay off after I started driving. Now it has started to come on and stay on through through the startup diagnostics and then start flashing. I have 4 wheel ABS if that makes any difference. I've looked at the owners manual and the factory service manual, and cannot find any mention of what a flashing ABS light means. Any feedback on this issue would be appreciated.

If it's a slow, steady flashing (1 second on, 1 second off), it might mean the PCM is unable to communicate with it for some odd reason. Mine's been flashing like that since I replaced it about 100K miles ago. Even the dealer is unable to program it. So I ignore it. The ABS still works.

Mine came on and stayed on sometime back. Dealer read codes and found the ABS computer bad. Replaced it my self then the light would flash like yours untill I had them program the pinion # into it. Basicaly you need a dealer to read any of the ABS codes to tell what is going on.

Now that I think about it it was the rear speed sensor. I was already upset about having to replace both front hubs two get new rotors. Having to replace the hubs just to do a break job is one of the few irritations I have with my 99 2500 4X4. Then to find out I can't get spin free hubs that would resolve that problem because I have 4 wheel ABS
