Need a little help or guidance. Left my truck for three days parked in the grass at a friends farm.
Came back and started the truck and abs, 4 wheel drive not working, it was a message, traction control issues. Did a walk around and found the right front abs wire was chewed in a three inch piece missing.
Drove home 200 miles and repaired the wires, I think. Soldered in two new wires, shrink rapped and hooked it up to the plug. Still the same problem. Scan tool says right front abs sensor code c0034-1d or d1. Tried to clear code but still there. No 4 wheel drive, 4 low works but in 4 wheel drive and messages are still on the dash. Any guidance will be appreciated. Thanks.

The length of wire dictates the amount of ohms that the system wants to see. Gauge of wire and the solder joints can skew the readings that the sensors reports. You'll need to replace the sensor and then clear the code. Today's electronics are very picky!

I've also had instances where aftermarket ABS sensors don't work because they aren't in the picky tolerance of the system. Pop in an OEM sensor and it's all fixed.
